Unlocking Potential Through Expert Facilitation
“Remember, teamwork begins by building trust. And the only way to do that, is to overcome our need for invulnerability.” – Patrick Lencioni
I believe that a good facilitator can help to inspire, encourage, and motivate the group to provoke solutions and creative ideas if there is a brainstorming exercise or bring the energy back down if a serious discussion needs to be had. They are an impartial safe pair of hands so the team can do the work that is needed while feeling safe.
Trevor Bentley defines facilitation as:
“The provision of opportunities, resources, encouragement and support for the group to succeed in achieving its objectives and to do this through enabling the group to take control and responsibility for the way they proceed.”
The word facilitate comes from the Latin which means to ‘make easy’. We believe that facilitation is the art of focusing group energy on a specific goal. It’s a diverse field/profession and relies on facilitators who have a broad repertoire of facilitation skills and approaches.
What is a facilitator?
Ingrid Bens defines a facilitator as:
“One who contributes structure and process to interactions, so groups are able to function effectively and make high quality decisions. A helper and enabler whose goal is to support others as they achieve exceptional performance.”
A facilitator is a person whose role is to guide people through a process to an effective result. This process could be a meeting, a brainstorming session, training/development, a planning session, team building, conflict resolution, or any situation involving a group of people where there are desired outcomes, goals or targets (or where there should be!)

Why Facilitation?
Organisations often seek the guidance of a skilled facilitator to optimise collaboration, communication, and productivity among teams, facilitating a path towards specific objectives.
Our expert facilitators bring a neutral mediation approach, structuring discussions, and mediating conflicts impartially.
With a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of group dynamics, they encourage active participation, ensuring every voice is heard and valued.
By mitigating power dynamics and encouraging a creative, efficient environment, facilitators stimulate innovation and problem-solving.
Our facilitation programmes focus on skill development, conflict resolution, and creating accountability, providing a confidential and constructive space to address challenges.
The expertise of external facilitators offers a fresh perspective to challenging organisational complexities.

Want to find out more?
Email amanda@loreconsultancy.com with your enquiry, please include a short summary of what you would like to achieve through the facilitation programme.
As an initial enquiry to explore our potential partnership and if we are the right organisation for you, let’s have an initial 30-minute chat on Zoom. If after this, you think we are a good fit, lets schedule something longer so we can really explore your thoughts and wishes moving forwards.
Following the initial conversation, if we are lucky enough to be invited to submit a proposal, we like to offer three alternatives, like platinum, gold, and silver.
Each of these will not only meet your specific needs and requirements, but there will also be various levels of support such as online programmes, check ins, coaching sessions, reference guides etc. This will ensure the learning is embedded within the organisation.
